Saheedah Harris is the owner of BELOVED HEALING and a licensed clinical level social worker and therapist. She brings over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, couples, and families to her practice.

In 2003 I graduated with my Masters Degree. I was pregnant, newly married and unsure about the direction I wanted my career to go. I always knew that my calling was to help people, but “What does that look like”? And “Do I have the skill and ability to be successful in this field”?

2012 was a year of immense changes and challenges. I relocated to Dallas along with my parents, I was now a single mother of 2 and due to complications from Sickle Cell Anemia I was unable to work. My dreams of being a successful therapist slipped further and further away. I felt like I was literally back at step one.

In 2018 I made the decision to once again work towards my goal of becoming a therapist. I began working at a private practice and started the process of obtaining my LCSW.
Then, just as I was nearing the end of completing my certification process COVID came and disrupted all of our lives. I wasn’t sure what therapy was going to look like, feel like or be like once COVID entered the picture.

COVID ushered in a different way of life, including the emergence of virtual therapy. Virtual therapy has allowed us to reach those who are not able to do in-person therapy. Those without transportation, time, or whose anxiety or depression makes it difficult to be in traditional therapy settings

In 2023, 20 years after obtaining my Master’s Degree I opened up my own private practice called Beloved Healing.

THERAPY plays a crucial role in promoting emotional well-being, enhancing resilience, and empowering individuals to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
It provides a supportive environment where individuals can explore challenges, develop skills, and receive guidance from Trained Professionals dedicated to their recovery and growth.
Due to Societal Stigma, some people fear being labeled as "weak" if they need therapy. Others fear judgment, being exposed, or have had their own negative experiences in the past. Some people even doubt the effectiveness of therapy outright.
Because of these things, it has become extremely daunting and uncomfortable for people to open up about their Personal Struggles and Emotions.
WHICH IS UNDERSTSANDABLE!
